TEAM LC FOREVER :)

Since it's so obvious that I have a HUUUUUGE girl crush on Lauren Conrad, I tried recreating her outfits using Polyvore (Just like what my Sister K did ) :) At first, I was having a hard time putting an entire ensemble together but in the end, I loved it! :) Polyvore rocks!

Here are some of LC's knockouts that I adoooooorreeee :)

Jetsetting in Style

Can't wait to make more SETS in Polyvore! :) I know that my Sister K is getting addicted to it too!!!

By the way, Anton (aka Mr. 7) just bought me a black blazer from Thailand! After reading my rants about how I desperately need this wardrobe staple, he actually purchased one for me! He's a total Sweetheart :)

O. twins!

Styled by: Kakat Obias

OOOOOOWH YES!! The O. twins hired me to be their personal stylist!

HAHAHA ;D In my dreams. Or should I say, in Polyvore land?

They define EFFORTLESS BEAUTY. The way they look, the way they dress-up, the way they mix and match stuff, the way they carry themselves, it's extremely effortless. And I sooooo love them for that. (Especially M.K.) ;) The more ragged their outfits look, the more fabulous they get!

I'm a fan. Die-hard!

By the way, polyvore is the coolest! Just log on to http://www.polyvore.com/ if you want to create something like the collage above. Kisses to my sister M for sharing this pretty thing to me. WONDERFUL! A perfect stress-reliever I can say. :)

Much love,
K

Work, Life, and Fashion

Time really flies. It seems that yesterday, I was still in school---cramming a paper, fishing for leakages from the first class, cutting classes, gossiping about our batchmates, and drinking wild with my funniest friends. But in reality, I am now celebrating my second month (almost) of being a yuppie. Yes, I am an official taxpayer for two months already! YIKES!

The world after college is different. Now I know what my professors and mentors meant when they said that “there’s a different world out there”. And it really amazes me how I was able to jump from these two distinct worlds for only freaking 48 hours. I started working right after our graduation bash. Extremely excited? Nada! I just didn’t want to take a risk. And besides, I’ve been dreaming of living in this industry, company, and job. So why not grab it while I can, right?!

For this past month, I admit that the feeling was still surreal. The job itself was surreal. Actually, when I signed the contract last May, I really didn’t know the exact or specific JD of a Lifestyle Consultant though the HR people somehow provided me a brief description of what an LC does. All I knew before was that we’ll be under marketing and we’ll be managing accounts of the company’s VIP clients. We’ll be their fashion stylist, consultant, and personal shopper, plus an over-all event promoter/organizer for the whole store. Sounds fun, isn’t it? I thought that it’s just going to be all about shopping and partying with the alta de ciudad. But when I started training, I realized that it’s more than that, really more than what I thought.

You can’t just love shopping for yourself. You should be in love with shopping for others even more.
You can’t be just in fashion. You should be fashion-forward.
You can’t just create a certain style. You should have been born with style.
You can’t just be a partygoer. You should give life to the party.
You can't just be knowledgeable with the ladies' fashion. You should also know men's, kid's, cosmetics&toiletries, and home.
You can’t just criticize. You should eat criticisms and learn from them.
You can’t be just the friendly nicey-nice to everyone. You should know who your real friends are.
You can’t just keep an eye on what you say or do. You need the pair.

In short, my work is way far from being lame glamorous. Oh yes, the products, the people you meet, and the parties are extremely glamorous. But the real work, it’s something deep. Being a lifestyle consultant is very challenging, most especially for a fresh graduate like me. And it is flattering how I am able to do what I genuinely love and at the same time be challenged from it.

Others say that it is difficult to survive in the fashion industry since it is a cruel mean world. But have you heard of the other news? I am way more cruel, so let's get the partyy started!!

Hey M, I miss you so much! I badly need to see you soon.

OUT AND ABOUT: Cosmo YOUniverse, Powerplant Mall, Center Stage

My boyfriend shirt (thrifted); Wide black belt (Tomato); Leggings (Sassa); Gladiators (PAP, not seen)

Went to the mall today with Anton to do some few errands. Finally, I was able to use my GC from Bayo. It was quite difficult for me to find something interesting in that store.
Good thing, a sheer floral top caught my eye. By the way, florals are hot this season.

I think I outgrew my love for anything preppy and mass produced. HAHA! I owe it to Rumi, Lulu, Camille, and the rest of the girls from Chictopia who shed some light on my fashion preferences. Now I see why thrift stores are havens, what mix and matching really means, and why anything mass produced sucks. I guess age has also something to do with this.

By the way, I miss K and N. Plus D, of course :)

Love,
M

THERE'S ALWAYS A FIRST TIME

Love those shoes plus the top.

Badly need a good black blazer. Plus a white one too :) I also want what that girl on the second picture is wearing. Very laid-back.

Was wearing this same outfit a while ago. Except that my plaid top was shorter. I want a longer one like MK's.

The ICE hates me. I fell thrice but my favorite boy saved me :) Went ice-skating today. Wee! But of course, I wore a pair of jeans.

Love,
M
